WallDrafts Android App Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the WallDrafts wallpaper app stores, what its service providers may process, and the controls available to you. It applies to the Android app, not the WallDrafts website.

No personal profile required The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
Preferences stay on device Favorites, settings, history, downloads, and Auto Changer choices are stored locally.
Privacy controls included Eligible users can review ad consent choices and control optional diagnostics in Settings.

1. Overview

WallDrafts is a wallpaper discovery and personalization app. You can browse, search, favorite, download, share, apply, and automatically rotate wallpapers. The app can be used without creating a named account.

2. Information stored on your device

The app may store the following information locally so its features continue to work:

  • favorites, recently viewed and applied items, download references, and wallpaper selections;
  • theme, language, onboarding age range, consent status, and other app preferences;
  • Auto Changer interval, destination, enabled sources, and scheduling state;
  • cached wallpaper images, category covers, and extracted cover colors; and
  • coin balance and unlocked-wallpaper records when secure cloud economy sync is not enabled.

Local data remains until you remove it in the app, clear app storage, or uninstall WallDrafts.

3. Wallpaper content and network access

WallDrafts uses the internet to load wallpaper catalog data, images, and animations. Some wallpaper image URLs currently point to Pinterest infrastructure. When your device requests an image, the host may receive standard network information such as your IP address, device or app information, and request logs under its own privacy terms. WallDrafts does not send your search text to Pinterest.

Images already cached on your device can be reused to reduce repeated downloads. A wallpaper URL may also be given to Android's system download service when you choose Download.

4. Advertising and consent

WallDrafts uses Google AdMob to provide banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, device and app information, ad interactions, and performance data to deliver, measure, secure, and limit ads. Personalization is used only where permitted by law and your consent choices.

Google's User Messaging Platform is used where required to request and manage advertising consent. You can reopen available privacy choices from WallDrafts Settings. Advertising services are not initialized until onboarding is complete.

The broad age range selected during onboarding is stored on your device and is used to request appropriate child or teen advertising protections. WallDrafts does not send a birth date to its ad providers. Rewarded ads may use a pseudonymous Firebase identifier and a one-time transaction ID for server-side reward verification and duplicate-reward prevention.

5. Firebase services

Depending on the features enabled in the installed version, WallDrafts may use:

  • Firebase Authentication for a pseudonymous anonymous account identifier;
  • Cloud Firestore and Cloud Functions for coin balances, unlock entitlements, and verified rewarded-ad transactions;
  • Firebase App Check with Play Integrity for app and device-integrity signals used to reduce abuse;
  • Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for optional usage measurement and crash diagnostics.

Analytics and crash collection are disabled by default. An eligible adult profile may explicitly enable “Help improve WallDrafts” in Settings. Child and teen profiles cannot enable it. App events are designed not to include wallpaper URLs, search text, or direct personal identifiers.

6. Android permissions and system features

  • Internet: loads images, catalog content, ads, consent messages, and enabled Firebase services.
  • Set wallpaper: applies an image only after you request it or enable Auto Changer.
  • Legacy storage: Android 9 and older may use storage access for user-requested downloads.
  • Background work: Android WorkManager runs Auto Changer approximately at your selected interval, subject to Android battery, network, and manufacturer scheduling limits.
  • Sharing: sends the selected file to Android's share sheet only after you choose Share and select a destination.

The app does not request access to your contacts, microphone, camera, or precise location.

7. Retention, deletion, and security

Local app data is kept until you clear it or uninstall the app. Android cloud backup is disabled for WallDrafts. Where secure economy sync is enabled, pseudonymous economy records and rewarded-ad transaction identifiers may be retained to maintain unlocks and prevent duplicate rewards.

Settings provides controls for relevant local cache or history and, when a cloud economy account is active, permanent deletion of that anonymous cloud account. You may also contact us for help with a privacy or deletion request.

8. Children's privacy

When a younger age range is selected, WallDrafts requests restrictive ad treatment, disables optional analytics and crash reporting, and limits available privacy settings. A parent or guardian may contact us with questions or deletion requests. WallDrafts does not knowingly ask children for direct contact information.

9. Service-provider policies

These providers explain their own processing and controls:

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the app, its providers, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will remain available at this URL with a revised effective date.
